My Story

Growing up in Cape Town, our holidays were often spent camping in remote places or by the river, where we’d spend entire days on the boat enjoying water sports. It’s safe to say my love for adventure and being on the water was sparked from an early age.

When I left South Africa to join the yachting industry, it instantly felt like a natural fit, what was suppose to be one year, turned into nine years traveling the world, cruising the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. From Mauritius to Alaska to Papua New Guinea, I felt incredibly fortunate to explore such diverse countries and their cultures.

Since settling on land, I have continued my career working within the maritime industry. The combination of experience as Chief Stewardess on board yachts and working ashore has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to deliver an exceptional service as part of the Build & Refit team.

Now based in a seaside village in Devon, I love staying active—whether it’s running or hiking along the coastal routes. Most weekends, you’ll find us outdoors, on our wooden launch with our dog, Jimmy, enjoying time on the water with friends and family.
